Nowra, located about 3.5-4 hours south of Newcastle, boast a huge selection of crags to climb. Definitely worth checking out, one day won't do, try a week.

10 November 2017

On 10 - 13 November 2017, the Wooman, his Newcastle Crew, and a special Sydney guest escaped the workweek and headed down to Nowra, which is located approximately 350km south of Newcastle. This region boasts an abundance of sport climbing with grades that suit everyone. Views are unique and spectacular especially Thompsons Point, which overlooks the Shoalhaven River. The crew stayed at the Shoalhaven Ski Park and used it as a home base, canoeing across the river to Thompsons Sunrise/Point or driving to one of the many other crags in the area. It was an amazing weekend. Not only for the exhilarating climbing, but also for the time spent with great friends, new and old. The Wooman looks forward to his next adventure.
